Thank you for providing as much notice as possible for lesson cancellations.
Please attend our studio events as a valuable addition to your private lessons and substitute for make-up lessons.

Please do not attend lessons when you are sick. Lessons are in close quarters in Miss Lynette’s home and we are trying to keep everyone healthy.

♫ Students: Please bring your bag, binder, book, Blueprint (a personalized music-making plan), and Music Library Loans to every lesson.
♫ Blueprint: Students & Families, please examine your blueprint every week. Look for important announcements and reminders. Play and Sing purposefully based on guidance and goals for your at-home music-making. Celebrate the encouragement offered for your progress.
♫ During lessons, friends and family are invited to drop students off for lessons, enjoy our porch swing, or unwind quietly by the fire in our cozy parlor. Caretakers, please come say hello at least monthly. I appreciate the chance to connect with you in person. Please ensure that only the current student is under Miss Lynette's supervision.

Guidelines for Making Music At Home
Your dedication to practicing at home invigorates your musical journey.
♫ Focus on quality over time. Refer to your weekly Blueprint for recommendations and goals. A good benchmark is being able to play or sing a piece correctly three times in a row.
♫ Prioritize frequency over time. Practicing for 5 minutes on most days is more beneficial for brain development and fine motor skills than practicing for a longer duration once a week.
♫ Integrate music-making into your daily routine in a positive and light-hearted manner. Remember that any form of music-making is better than none. Students may need reminders, guidance, and motivation to engage in music-making at home.
♫ Recognize that our lives are busy and ever-changing. It's normal to have fluctuations in at-home practice, enthusiasm, interest, and time commitments. Miss Lynette understands and will support you through this. Attend your lessons regardless and reach out for feedback and ideas.

Communication Guidelines
♫ Our website is a valuable resource for keeping up-to-date on studio announcements, reading detailed studio policies, accessing our blog (TBA soon!) canceling lessons, registering for Exclusive Events, and paying tuition. If you haven’t done so already, please sign up and log in.
♫ For minor students, please ensure that any business-related communications, including scheduling, lesson cancellations and rescheduling, tuition inquiries or concerns, and discontinuing lessons, are conducted between the parents/guardians and Miss Lynette.
♫We kindly request that you engage in a conversation with Miss Lynette before deciding to discontinue lessons. Never have I ever heard an adult express anything but regret for quitting music lessons as a kid. Talk to me, please?
♫ Our business plan is structured upon continuous year-round lessons and a full student roster. If you must stop lessons at the studio, please give us the courtesy of at least one month's paid notice. You will still receive the last month of lessons. This will allow us to wrap things up meaningfully, and the studio to work on filling the spot. Thank you!
