Savor the warm timbre of our 1937 Wurlitzer Butterfly Baby Grand Piano, generously donated to us by Tom Breunich. His father taught lessons with the Butterfly here in Salida for decades. What a cherished gift and legacy!

Students have a selection of thousands of titles in our Music Library to borrow and study with special gratitude to our library-keeper, Ahvy.

Students are encouraged to celebrate in our exclusive festivities and classes. You have to know the password.

Students who seek to perform have abundant opportunities including private music salons, intimate house concerts, public recitals, & exemplars captured on video. We also respect the wishes of students who choose not to perform.

Each lesson students receive clear and concise DIY blueprints featuring repertoire, guidance, goals, encouragement and announcements to support and inform music-making at home. Both students and families are invited to read them.

Q : What happened to the Vardo?
A: Miss Lynette’s labor of love built on a flatbed farmtruck, the Vardo at 2nd & E, was sold to Box of Bubbles in 2021. Though quirky and enchanting, the small space and climate control were compromising. It has become an iconic Salida art installation Miss Lynette feels proud to have created.
